Imagine working out in an eco-friendly environment! Riverview Fitness is in the Old Town Medical Arts Building, which is Gold Level LEED certified. Special features of the building consist of the trapping and reuse of storm water, heating and air conditioning with geothermal technology, efficient lighting, insulation, and use of native plants for landscape.
Materials used in the building for paint, floors, walls, and ceiling are designed to “out gas” minimal or no toxins. All fitness equipment is sterilized with natural and biodegradable products. The parking lot will have designated spaces for electric and hybrid vehicles.
River View Fitness staff are CPR certified, qualified, professionally credentialed, and committed to helping you achieve success! Our staff will design a program that is specific to your personal goals.

We offer a variety of classes that are designed to strengthen the heart and increase cardiovascular capacity, endurance, and improve overall muscle tone. The classes are taught to provide for multilevel participants, so everyone can enjoy the same class.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
ABS & More - This class will combine a 25-minute cardio workout on the treadmill, followed by a session in the dance studio. Tighten and tone your core, gluteus, and legs with a fun combination of stretches and exercises. Please bring your own mat. $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructor: Mike Goerke (60 min).
Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program - This is a group exercise program designed specifically for people with arthritis. This class promotes joint mobility, flexibility, range of motion, stamina, and muscle strength. This class is suitable for individuals in seated or standing positions. $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructor: Kris Kotula (60 min).
Belly Dancing - This dance is a fun exiting way to become fit! With this class, participants will learn traditional/ethnic to modern cabaret and "fusion" styles. No previous dance experience is required! Instructor: Leilah (60 min) $40.
BLT + ABS (Butt, Legs and Thighs) - Are you up for a challenging lower body workout? Then this 45-minute workout is the right one for you. You will strengthen and tone your quadriceps, hamstrings, gluteus maximus and medius, and calves. The last ten minues will be focusing on the core and stretching. This class does not have a cardio component. $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructor: Kris Kotula (45 min).
Gyrokinesis™ - This exercise program uses principles from dance, yoga gymnastics and tai-chi. They are incorporated into seven natural elements of spinal movement wich include forward, backward, left side, right side, left twist, right twist, and circular motions. They work the muscles and joints through rythmic exercises to simultaneously strengthen and stretch muscles. Classes start at $55 for six sessions. Instructor: Jane Gamble (50 min).
Pilates/Yoga - This class is a combination of both Pilates and Yoga that is suitable for the beginner to intermediate participants. The format is a series of poses that focus on strength, flexibility, and balance while building core strength in the abdominal muscles. Please bring your own mat. $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructor: Kris Kotula (60 min).
Tai-Chi - This ancient form of Chinese exercise takes the body through safe and gentle movements and is effective in improving overall fitness, relieving pain and suffering of chronic conditions, and improves quality of life. Beginners Instructor: Sandra Logan (60 min) $60. Advanced Instructor: Dan Jones (90 min) $68.
TOT (Tight on Top) - This 45-minute upper body workout will strengthen and tone your pecs, deltoids, and back for a "ripper" look. Prepare to work out like you mean it! You will work with heavier weight/low reps to build strength and sculpt muscles and light weight/high reps to boost endurance. This class does not have a cardio component. $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructor: Kris Kotula (60 min).
Trekking: - Tired of the same old treadmill routine? This class is suitable for the beginners through advanced levels. This class will start you off with stretches and a warm up. Next you will go through a series of incline/hills and interval speed work outs all at a pace that is right for you. $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructors: Mike Goerke and Kris Kotula.(Dumbells will be utilized) (45 min). We recommend you bring a water bottle.
Zumba® - This Latin inspired fitness class incorporates aerobics and dance with easy to follow moves that include the meringue, salsa, cubia, and raggaeton. No previous dance experience is required! $4/class for RVF, $6/class for non-members. Instructor: Kris Kotula (60 min).
